Spring 2025: Conversations and Connections: Pegasus Pathways

Posted in: Announcements, Conversations and Connections: Pegasus Pathways

New year, new connections! Our Class of 1978 schedule of conversations on Zoom resumes in February. We hope you will be able to attend one or more of our Pegasus Pathways special events. Stay tuned for in-person events as well.

PROSPECT DOWN MEMORY LANE
Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. EST via Zoom
Maureen Kuhn and Diana Fischer Baker from our class will take us into Prospect and down memory lane. What made it a special dorm for them? Do you have memories to share? If you lived there or just visited, join us to remember and reconnect with food, friends and sitting bells.

REAL ESTATE 101: TIME TO DOWNSIZE OR RELOCATE?
Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. EST via Zoom
Realtor Leigh Whiteman ’78 has been having this conversation a lot recently, with folks she sold houses to three or four decades ago. From figuring out what you want at this stage of your life to how to use the resources around you, Leigh will lead us through thinking about downsizing, right-sizing, relocating, or moving to be near family. If you have moved already, please share your thoughts, and if you are thinking about it, this might be the right time to learn more!

UPROOTED AND RESETTLED: WHAT GENEALOGY CAN TEACH US ABOUT OUR FAMILIES
Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. EST via Zoom
Lisa Misakian ’78 will talk about her own research into genealogy, sharing it with family and the wider world, and how family stories are helping to modernize Armenian Memory Book traditions—another unique way of revealing our roots. She is also working with two childhood friends to develop a website dedicated to documenting and celebrating the early Armenian diasporan community of their hometown of Whitinsville, MA, which is becoming a model for documenting other diasporan communities. If you have started your own family tree, are wondering how best to share it, or thinking about using DNA to find lost relatives, Lisa’s experiences will inspire many new ideas.

Do you have suggestions for other events, either Zoom or in-person? Please email reunion co-chairs Kathy Sharkey or Patrice McCarthy Kirshbaum with your idea. You may also be hearing from classmates by email or phone with more information about our 50th reunion. Please respond! We would love to hear from you.
Thank you,
Kathy and Patrice
